Client loyalty. If there is something they want we will figure out how to make it happen! Forming relationships with clients is not something everyone gets to do.

I’ve been back at Mittera for almost 2 years. I worked here previously as an Account Manager when we were ColorFX. When I first met Jon Troen, he had just aquired CFX. He shared his dreams and goals of growing the business and he has done just that. I love our fast pace and ever-growing family.

I started in prepress at our Urbandale facility (formerly Colorfx) in 2006. Just a couple years later Rock (Jon) bought us. That was the first of many acquisitions to come! I joined the creative team in 2012 as Design Team Lead. We were located in the east end of the Urbandale print facility and named Sundog Studios at the time. We moved into our current facility in 2013 and I held a couple different positions in operations over the years – each supporting our team members and clients. I’ve been Creative Operations Director since 2022 and still love working for Mittera!

Kendell Heaps, Creative Services Lead

I started my Mittera adventure at Rock Communications working on Hy-Vee shelf signs. Since then I’ve worked on shelf signs for multiple clients. In 2018 I moved to Mittera Creative and Tech to focus on accuracy for the Hy-Vee team. Now I am doing design and accuracy for Hy-Vee, AutoZone and Schnucks and looking forward to trying new things.
I love that Mittera is always looking for new solutions and innovations.

Like many here, I have been part of many acquisitions to arrive at Mittera. Starting with the Vartan brothers at Lakeshore Litho then with Jim Madden/Bill Barta at Rider Dickerson. Then with Fuse with Scott Voris, Bill, and Charlie Barkley and ultimately with Mittera with Jon. It’s been quite a ride! I’m always amazed at the size of some of these accounts secured by Chris Bostrum and Richard Menconi. They are huge jobs! It always makes me wonder how much work it takes to secure accounts of that size. I wouldn’t have the patience for that! 🙂 I have been working on some of the same accounts for over 10 years.
